So it has been a few big days here in Asher land. First off, he was 9 months old on Sunday. While I posted about thanksgiving I had intended to do a 9 mo post, but things got busy and posting was delayed. These pictures are from that memorable day when we were thankful that we now have known Asher and been able to hug him longer than we just knew of him and waited for him. A pretty significant milestone.
His favorite game at nine months is hide and seek, he hides under a blanket for a determined amount of time (his choice) before pulling it off to reveal his hiding place. The best is when he waits longest and actually giggles under there. And he also loves to be chased. I tell him that I am going to get him, and he takes off crawling and then I get him (I totally kick ass at crawling) and then tickle him, it is a hoot.
Asher also loves being loud! His noise is wonderful, no official words but still amazing.
And to finish up with some huge news, Asher took an official first step this evening. Cathy and Natalie were witnesses, it isn't just Ben and me thinking that he is advanced. He actually picked his foot off the ground (which took a ton of contemplation on his part!) and moved it forward. He did it twice for sure and a not so sure third. All with his left foot if that matters.
