If you look closely at the pictures in the previous post you will notice that yes that is Asher standing on the breakfast nook looking out the window. It is pretty appropriate that Asher's first sign, showing up this morning was chicken. Ben made up the sign and all week, Asher has been getting excited any time Ben would use the sign to go out to do morning chores. This morning, he put up a distinct finger to do the sign and kept doing it. Being so cold out there wasn't much movement in chicken land. We bundled him up and took him to see the chickens on his request. His viewpoint from the window allows him to see the chickens as they scratch about in their straw yard. He was ecstatic this morning to be so close to them, instead of looking out the window.
And yes, he does really like ball jar lids, he will be a great canner someday!
