Just a quick update as I try and catch up on life with Asher.
He is in a great cheesy smile mode these days, or at least was during December. I think that all kids go through a squinty eye smile cheese stage before finding a smile. I do ask for some cheese every once in a while but prefer to keep it out of the photo shoots. It is what it is. He also love, loves his legwarmers, which couldn't make me more happy. I love making things for such a receptive recipient.
The whole talking this is pretty phenomenal, I am a little sorry that as a mama I didn't keep record of how his speech developed... but am happy that I got to witness such a phenomenal growth. Speech development is pretty fascinating. He now has 5 word sentences and works on structure of them until he gets it right in his mind. It is awesome to listen too. This morning I asked him if he wated to play, he was under the table at the time and responded, "Asher is singing now mama" He was, how foolish of me not to recognize the sounds he was making as an entertaining song. He is loving music, dancing and playing music. Over the holidays he really nailed down the kazoo and can regularily be found with the funnel in the kitchen playing his horn.
One of his favorite snacks is umame (or nori the seaweed used in miso soup or to wrap rolls)
He will abandon this favorite treat for his horn playing.
Holiday post coming in a few minutes.
