Our holidays were pretty low key this year. Not for lack of trying just what actually came out of them. with my brother in Amsterdam with his family and not celebrating really with my immediate family it was hard to motivate to make gifts and I personally just can't buy crap that is out there. I was even ready to give up on the cookie decorating, but Ben motivated me to make some frosting and thus begun the sugar for Asher holiday. I was quite pleased with his self control, Ben and I essentially were ready for a free for all, but he didn't seem to interested in over endulging despite his declarations of, "I love cookies" and "I love blue sugar" He did have some cute frosting faces.

On Christmas Eve, he actually got into opening a present. For some reason a present in the pile caught his eye and he was crawling on it before dinner and saying it was his. I figured he wouldn't be getting anything but low and behold, the present had his name on it (maybe spelling his name for him isn't a waste of time?) or a crap shoot. But he got a fun pool for the summer... it is huge and we aren't exactly sure where it will fit in the yard yet, but he will love having water more than in buckets this coming summer. And the shot that melts me. He looks so grown up in this picture. Hard to believe that he has been hanging out with us for the past two years!
He actually reminds me a lot of one of my cousins in this photo.
Christmas, no pics as I was sick and Ben forgot the camera...
